In the Miami Beach Sr. High NJROTC unit there are many events that take place throughout the year. These events include community service projects, field meet competitions, formal ceremonies, and much more. These events teach students different aspects of Naval life and are always enjoyable.

Armed Drill Team
Armed Drill Team consists of 20 Cadets who practice diligently. The members meet three times a week to practice. Basic drill consists of required basic marching procedures such as forward march, obliques, flanks, and dress right dress. Exhibition drill combines marching, spinning, and precision movements with the rifle.
Both drills are graded upon factors of alignment, sharpness, and command.
Drill rifles flying from Cadet to Cadet, the lineup of crisp Summer Blues Uniform, the rhythmic slap of rifles caught by Sharp hands.
